The rising trend of divorce in India has become a matter of serious concern. While there are several reasons for the growing ‘divorce’ rate, the most common are lack of commitment, too much arguing, infidelity, unrealistic expectations, and in many cases abusive relationships.

Amidst the divorce of celebrities and sportspersons, a woman has hogged all the limelight after she organized a ‘divorce party’ and danced her heart out. The video of the woman celebrating her ‘divorce’ with a party and the whole night has captivated social media users.

The viral video shows the woman, dressed in a vibrant lehenga choli, dancing her heart to a Bollywood tune. A banner reads ‘Divorce Mubarak’, meaning Congratulations on your divorce’. The video features the woman celebrating exuberantly with her friends, marking a new chapter in her life.

While the exact location was not ascertained, many claimed that the video is from United States and the woman believed to be either Pakistani or Indian, reportedly owns a store in America. While many congratulated her on her new beginning in life, others expressed concern on the rising trend of divorces.

A portion of social media users called it women empowerment and reflected on accepting life with positivity, others raised questions on the lack of commitment in people these days.

Another user commented, “If the marriage truly sucked, then obviously people will celebrate. Btw guess what, women who actually need to use 498A do not use it. They let everything go and just want out. Most women filing 498A are the ones who actually do not need it. Seeing too many examples around.”
