Tigress hunts down crocodile with cubs in Ranthambore National Park! Watch rare sight

In the wild, predators hunt for food as part of the natural balance of ecosystems. These animals rely on hunting and consuming other organisms for sustenance. While lions, tigers and other big cats are apex predators, occupying the highest trophic level in their respective ecosystems, crocodiles are apex predators in aquatic ecosystems. Their powerful jaws and stealthy hunting tactics make them formidable predators.

While it is quite common to witness these apex predators hunting down other animals larger in size, it is rare to see these predators battling with each other. Recently, a video surfaced on the internet that shows a rare sight of a Tigress hunting down a Crocodile with its cub. The incident was captured in Ranthambore National Park and has now gone viral.

Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan is home to a diverse range of birds and animals. However, it is renowned as a Tiger Reserve and India’s premier destination for tiger sightings.

According to reports, the rare sighting of a renowned tigress named Riddhi along with her three cubs hunting a crocodile in the Tiger Reserve was captured on camera. 

According to the officials of the National Park, the crocodile was killed on April 14 in Zone 3 of the Tiger Reserve. The video was uploaded by the supervisors of the National Park on Instagram the next day. In the video, the tigress can be seen devouring their hunt. The tigers tore into the crocodile's flesh with their sharp jaws.
