A video of a teacher dancing to an item song inside the classroom in the presence of students has left social media angered. The viral video shows the teacher dancing to Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Kajra Re’ from the 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli.

Dressed in a pink saree, the lady teacher can be seen dancing as students cheer for her enthusiastically. At one point, a student hands her over a dupatta, which the teacher adds to her dance performance.

Going by the video, it appears it was the teacher’s birthday and she danced her heart out on the request of her students. The students had decorated the blackboard that had ‘Happy Birthday Rashmi Ma’am’ written on it.

However, the viral video has left the internet divided of such dance on item songs inside the classroom. An X user shared the video and wrote, “Never imagined we’d see a day where teachers are dancing literally on an item song inside a classroom.”

Reacting to the video, a user commented, “There was a time when teachers in the school were the moral compass and role models… if they’ve become chapris and honda shernis, it is natural that students will follow suit. All nonsense is being normalised.”

“Teachers are dating students they teach shamelessly, so this isn't a deal anymore. In fact, I met a woman who was 28 and was a teacher on tinder, who said she had hooked up with a student who was 20. Install tinder, talk to girls there and you will see how the world is changing around you,” commented another user.
