A wedding is a ceremony that celebrates the union of two people. The traditions and customs of weddings greatly vary between religions, races, cultures, and ethnic groups. However, Indian marriages are much more than traditions and customs. While the excitement of the bride and groom is beyond anything, the enthusiasm among family, relatives, and friends is no less.

In this era of social media, loads of videos and pictures of weddings can be found. While some of the instances tickle the funny bones of the users, others spread rage.

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet that shows a traditional ritual of an Indian wedding. In the video, the groom and bride can be seen exchanging varmala (garland). What fuelled rage among netizens was the behaviour of the groom’s friends during the exchange of varmala.

The video shows the groom putting the garland on the bride. However, his friends suddenly yell, “Moye Moye.”

As per some users, the groom’s friends did it intentionally to take a jibe at the bride and of course, draw everyone’s attention towards them. Possibly, the friends made such a remark with the idea that the groom’s miserable life will start after marriage.

Of course, such a remark during marriage is not acceptable in any way. This also indicates that those men have the perception that women are a burden or a problem in men’s lives. And the worst phase of life for a man begins right after their marriage.

Few users fumed as the groom laughed after his friends made such a remark. But some users also came in support of the groom opining that he would never meet those friends again. On the other hand, as soon as the groom bowed his down, the bride looked up towards the groom’s friends. And from her gesture, the bride seems to be fumed.

The video shared on Twitter by Madridista has been viewed over 4 million times. The caption for the post reads: The look said everything. Now he will never meet his friends ever (sic)

While the comments section is flooded with laughing emoticons, several users slammed the groom and his friends for such a ‘shameless’ act.
