When it comes to Bengaluru, nothing seems to be impossible nowadays. Forget about the IT personnel, even the auto rickshaws can be seen moonlighting too.

Yes, you heard it right. An auto rickshaw in Bengaluru sparked a debate on the internet after it was spotted sporting three different registration numbers. One for OLA customers, one for Rapido, and the last one written on its designated number plate, supposedly its original registration number.

The picture of the auto rickshaw was shared by a Twitter user named Suprit, who wrote, “Another #PeakBangalore moment in E-city. How many registrations are too many registrations?” (sic) To this, a user hilariously replied, “Dude is moonlighting”. (sic)

A user Deepa wrote, “I always wondered on such different vehicle arriving with different registration number when booked through ola. I dread for my safety when this happens! How will @ola_supports or #banglore traffic police track such vehicles in case of crimes.” (sic)

Ola Support responded to the user and wrote, “Request you to share the CRN of the ride mentioned along with your registered Email ID via DM so that our team can look into this.”

It is worthwhile to mention here that it is not uncommon for drivers of ride-hailing apps like Uber, Ola, or Rapido to operate the same vehicles on more than one platform.

Last month, the auto drivers in Bengaluru held a protest against the illegal two-wheeler bike taxis. They claimed that the illegal bike taxis are affecting their livelihood and allege that bike taxis are also causing accidents, endangering the lives of commuters.
