A bride fainted and fell inside the church just moments after saying ‘I do’. Catherine Franks, 28, was marrying Alex, 26, when she couldn’t stand the extreme heat and fell unconscious.

“I said, I think I’m going to pass out,” recalled Catherine in the nearly 100-degree weather.

“The next thing I knew, I woke up and just saw boots around me,” she added.

Surrounded by at least 300 guests, the lengthy marriage vows coupled with the 100-degree temperature and beams of the church lights, sent the bride’s head spinning.

“I think we had just said ‘I do’ and were waiting on the final prayer so we were technically married,” Catherine said.

After standing for around 40-odd minutes, Catherine finally collapsed leaving the guests, groom, and other onlookers gasped and gawked in shock. Her family members rushed to her aid, fanning her and sprinkling water on her while she lay prostrate on the floor.

“My husband Alex whom I met on Hinge, talked me through the harrowing moment. It’s OK, you’ll be fine, he said to me. He really talked me down from freaking out too much,” she added.
