The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) has issued a serious warning to Google Chrome users about security problems in specific versions of the web browser. These issues can put users' data and information at great risk.

The Vulnerabilities

CERT-IN has discovered several vulnerabilities in Google Chrome, such as use after free in Autofill payments, WebRTC, and Type Confusion in V8.

If not fixed, these vulnerabilities may enable remote attackers to run arbitrary code on targeted systems.

These issues are extremely serious and can put in danger sensitive user data.

Update Google Chrome

To keep yourself safe, it is essential to promptly update your Google Chrome browser to the newest version.

You have two simple options to accomplish this. First, you can visit the official Google Chrome website. Alternatively, you can use the built-in update feature within the browser itself.

Mac and Linux users should update to version 114.0.5735.133, while Windows users should update to version 114.0.5735.133/134.

These updates include important fixes that address the identified vulnerabilities.

Regularly Check for Updates

Enabling automatic updates in the settings of Google Chrome ensures that future security patches and bug fixes are installed without delay.

By keeping your browser up to date, you add an important layer of protection against new threats.

It is recommended to regularly check for updates as a routine part of your browsing habits.
