The competition in the tech industry is steadily increasing, especially in the realm of AI.

Following Google's venture into AI with Google Bard, the tech giant has recently introduced a new feature named Art Selfie 2 in its 'Art & Culture' app.

This feature allows users to take selfies and transform themselves into various popular paintings.

According to a blog post on Wednesday, Google shared that the generative AI-powered Art Selfie 2 currently offers 'more than 25 historical and cultural styles,' with additional styles in the pipeline.

Users can take selfies alone or with friends, and then blend their faces into different scenarios of their choice.

The announcement stated, "Now, using the power of generative AI, Art Selfie 2 brings you face to face with culture again, revisiting the world’s art, history, and culture with you at the center."

Users can select styles such as an explorer on Mount Everest, a medieval knight in armor, or an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, among others.

While the image is being generated, the app provides users with interesting facts.

Here's How To Use Art Selfie 2

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.
  2. Find and download the 'Google Art & Culture' app.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. Click on the Art Selfie 2 feature.
  5. The camera option will appear; grant the necessary camera permissions.
  6. Take a selfie and choose the artistic look you prefer.
  7. After Google adds the effect, you can download the image, share it, or apply a new style.

Google assures users that it does not save any selfies, and only the user can view them unless shared with others, according to the official report.
