With the arrival of OTT platforms, the entertainment industry has undergone a pattern shift, and numerous platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others are leaving no stone unturned to woo audience with their content.

These platforms support various regional languages, enabling people to watch movies in their preferred language. However, not everyone can comprehend a particular language, and that's where subtitles come into play.

Subtitles are a fantastic way to bridge the communication gap between people of different languages. They provide a written translation of the dialogues spoken in a movie or show.

Now, the good news is that you can customize the subtitles on Netflix according to your preferences.

Here's a step-by-step guide to change the appearance of Netflix subtitles:

Step 1: Launch the Netflix application or visit the website and log in to your account.

Step 2: Click on the profile picture icon available in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Now here you have to click on the "Account" option from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Under "Profile & Parental Controls," select the profile for which you want to customize the subtitles.

Step 5: Click on the "Change subtitle appearance" button to access the subtitle appearance menu.

Step 6: Here, you can change the font, text size, color, and background color, and even add a drop shadow effect to the subtitles.

Step 7: Once you've made the changes, click on the "Save" button to save your preferences.

Now, you can watch any video on Netflix, and the subtitles will be displayed according to your settings.

However, if you're watching Netflix on your TV, you'll need to follow these additional steps:
