Australia opener David Warner issued an apology to all Indian cricket lovers after his team lifted the World Cup 2023 Trophy. The Aussies took home the World Cup Trophy after defeating host nation India.

David Warner who is a huge fan of India and Indian movies took to social media to issue an apology to all the 1.40 billion Indians. He revealed that while he was the happiest after winning the World Cup, he was disheartened for India as the Men in Blue truly deserved it.

A dejected Indian fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and mentioned Warner for breaking everyone’s heart. ‘David Warner you have broken our hearts,” the fan wrote.

Replying to the tweet, David Warner wrote, “I apologise, it was such a great game and the atmosphere was incredible. India really put on a serious event. Thank you all.”

David Warner known for his love for South Indian movies, especially Pushpa 2, has a huge fan following in India too. He has been receiving applause for understanding the state of Indian fans.

India were the clear favourites in the World Cup and the loss has sent shockwaves across the nation as the Men in Blue were expected to win the cup, having beaten the Aussies earlier in the league match.
