India’s run machine Virat Kohli is like the livewire on the field, be it while batting or bowling. He has showcased exceptional sportsmanship and fitness in the last match against Afghanistan. His terrific fielding ensured India’s blistering win in the third T20I in Bengaluru.

Among some really good fielding, one that stood above all was his jumping and stopping a six at the long-on. Afghanistan batsman Karim Janat hit Washington Sundar for a six straight at long-on. For a second, everyone thought it would be a six.

However, Kohli jumped near the edge of the fence and stopped the ball from six. Before he could fall down on the ground, he managed to throw away the ball inside the field before falling over the ropes. Virat’s heroics saved 5 runs for India as Karim could only take one 1 run.

Later, King Kohli also took another massive catch that ensured India’s win in the second super-over. After the terrific win, India’s fielding coach T Dilip handed the ‘Fielder of the Series’ Award to Kohli in the dressing room.

It was the reaction of Hitman Rohit Sharma and other players worth watching while Virat Kohli collected his award.

Before handing over the award to Virat Kohli, Dilip heaped praises on the cricket legend and said, “This guy has shown once again, time and again, making split-second decisions whether to go for it or not; the way he keeps coming at you; saving those runs, putting those dives, going to hotspots, you can’t take your eyes off, none other than Virat Kohli.”

He continued, “Before I announce the winner, I just want to tell you all one thing, he took 2 medals in the World Cup. And I still remember in West Indies, when he told me that he didn’t want to stand in slips, wanted to do in short of fine leg; challenging the youngsters, that he wants to be the best in the world cup and he showed that. This is the intensity the man gives to the team. He not only does his job so well, but apart from that he inspires everyone.”

“It is a great opportunity to be playing along with him. I did like other youngsters to come up and start replicating, doing half of what he is doing, and the whole team will look very different. And today’s winner is none other than Virat Kohli,” Dilip concluded.
