Team India is most likely to face New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15.

India, Australia and South Africa have already qualified for the knockout phase. At the moment, the Kiwis are waiting to officially confirm the fourth spot in points table after the England vs Pakistan match finishes in Kolkata on Saturday.

With eight consecutive victories from as many matches, India are currently leading the points table with 16 points.

As per the rules in the mega event, if rains play spoilsport in the semifinals, teams finishing higher on the points table will progress to the final.

Notably, South Africa (2nd) and Australia (3rd) will lock horns in the second semifinal at the Eden Gardens on November 16.
