Cricket has witnessed many brain fade moments. The game has also seen many spot or match-fixing incidents from S Sreesanth to Pakistan's M Amir saga.

However, in a recent incident in the first T20I between India and West Indies at Tarouba in Trinidad on Friday, fans were confused about whether it was a brain fade or a match-fixing moment.

In the 18th over of the Indian innings, when R Ashwin was running at the danger end to complete a run, West Indies pacer Obed McCoy collected the ball cleanly but did not dislodge the bails. Strangely, the speedster waited for Ashwin to complete the run. The Indian lower order batsman was even surprised at how he survived the run-out.

The video went viral on various social media platforms quickly and the fans questioned the intention of the pacer whether it was a match-fixing incident or a brain fade moment.

" Why obed mccoy missed runout of Ashwin? rajastan royals mccoy it's not fair," wrote a fan in Twitter.

"Obed McCoy Missed The Run-out Chance of Ashwin. What Were He Thinking?," tweeted another fan.

Meanwhile, another fan wrote, " Obed McCoy Missed The Run-out Chance of Ashwin. What Were He Thinking?"

Eventually, riding on splendid knocks by skipper Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik followed by clinical bowling, India registered a comprehensive victory over the hosts to take 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
