Talent means opportunity and it is the motto of IPL which has changed the lives of several budding cricketers to fulfill their wishes to play for the Indian Cricket team. Many players in the past gave their best in this popular tournament and grabbed the attention of Indian selectors.

India seems to have found a speed sensation in the form of Mayank Yadav, who grabbed all the attention with his breathtaking spell against Punjab Kings. He soon became the top trending name on X (formerly Twitter) after his first spell.

In his opening spell, he bowled a delivery to Shikhar Dhawan which clocked 155.8 kph. In his four-over spell, he picked up 3 wickets and had a great start to his IPL career.

Hailing from Delhi, Mayank rose to prominence with good performances in domestic cricket. The 21-year-old bowler picked up 15 wickets in just 6 matches at the CK Nayadu Tournament (U-23). He performed his best against Chhattisgarh while picking 5 wickets and scoring 66 runs with the bat.

Mayank also had a brilliant Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament while playing for Delhi where picked up 5 wickets in 4 games. He maintained an excellent economy of 6.5.

Mayank put on a great show in the 2023 Deodhar Trophy while playing for North Zone as he took 12 wickets in five games with an economy rate of less than six and an outstanding average of 17.58.

With this kind of raw pace at such a young age, it will interesting to watch what Mayank will produce in the upcoming matches for Lucknow Super Giants after an excellent debut.
