After hitting five sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans (GT) and helping his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pull off a stunning victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Rinku Singh has become an overnight star. Pacer Yash Dayal was the unfortunate bowler who was at the receiving end of Rinku’s onslaught.

GT captain Hardik Pandya has recently revealed that the 25-year-old pacer fell ill after that game. Yash is yet to recover from the grief of giving away 30 runs in an over. Following the development, Yash has played no games for the Titans.

“Yash even lost eight kgs in weight after the game. There is no surety whether the fast bowler will be able to play further in this season,” said Pandya.

“I can’t confirm his chances of playing again this season. There was a spread of viral infection during that period. His condition is presently not good enough to take the field due to the pressure he had faced. Someone’s loss is someone’s gain at the end of the day. It is going to take a long time before we see him on the field,” the all-rounder added.

Notably, Yash’s father Chandrapal, and mother Radha were left heartbroken after that match. The disappointment was so much that Radha stopped eating and cried inconsolably.
