IPL 2023: Virat Kohli pours his heart out for Shubman Gill after his maiden IPL ton

After beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 34 runs, Gujarat Titans (GT) became the first team to seal the playoff spot in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). 

Talented opener Shubman Gill scored his maiden IPL century to help GT register the convincing victory. Gill smashed 101 runs in just 58 deliveries including 13 fours and a six. Gill has now scored a total of 576 runs in IPL 2023 at an impressive strike rate of 146.19 and average of 48.00.

After Gill’s scintillating century, there was an outpour of reactions in appreciation of his talent and Potential. But his India teammate and one of the greatest batters in the world, Virat Kohli saved the best reaction for Gill. RCB star batsman Kohli heaped praise on the 23-year-old and expected the talented batter to lead the next generation of India cricketers.

“There’s potential and then there’s gill. Go on and lead the next generation. God bless you,” wrote Kohli in his Instagram story.

Notably, Kohli has been a constant admirer of Gill. He has shared many posts to appreciate Gill for his brilliant knocks in the past.
