MS Dhoni is considered as one of the most successful cricketers and captains in the history of cricket across the globe. The ‘Captain Cool’ has led India to victory in all three ICC tournaments and the feat is unmatched by any other captain.

Moreover, Dhoni has a remarkable record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. He has led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to stunning four titles.

One of the special qualities of Dhoni to be a successful captain is to back players and youngsters. He has his own ways of connecting to his teammates.

Recently, Dhoni’s former CSK teammate George Bailey has revealed the Captain Cool’s special traits that set him apart from others. As per Bailey, Dhoni has an open-door policy for players. In another stunning revelation, Bailey revealed how Dhoni would often have a hookah or sheesha set up in his room.

“Dhoni likes smoking a bit of the sheesha or the hookah. So, he quite often would set that up in his room, and it was very much open door policy. You would go in and quite often find a lot of youngsters there. For India or lot of other cricket teams, it can be hierarchical, but Dhoni certainly broke that down,” said Bailey during an interview to a cricket based website.

Notably, Bailey has played one season for CSK and one season for Rising Pune Supergiant. Meanwhile, Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020. However, he continues to lead CSK in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
