Virat Kohli
Star batsman Virat Kohli will have a landmark moment in the second Test match between India and hosts West Indies. Kohli will represent India for the 500th time in his international career.
Kohli will become only the fourth Indian and tenth international player overall to reach the mark of 500 international caps. He will join the elite list of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who holds the record with 664 appearances. He will also join Captain Cool MS Dhoni (538) and current head coach Rahul Dravid (509).
Among others, great all-rounders like Shahid Afridi, Sanath Jayasuriya, and Jacques Kallis are also in the top 10 list.
Kohli is now at the peak of his career. The right-handed batsman has scored 75 centuries across all the three formats. He is now sitting in second place clear of Ricky Ponting’s 71 centuries. However, he is still behind Sachin’s legendary 100.
Kohli has also over 100 appearances across all three formats of the game. He famously became only the second man, after New Zealand great Ross Taylor to achieve that feat in his 100th T20I last August, in the Asia Cup encounter against Pakistan.
