After attending his brother-in-law’s wedding recently, India skipper Rohit Sharma will return to international cricket and lead the Men in Blue in the second ODI against Australia in Vizag on Sunday.

Rohit will go past former swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag in an elite list even before taking the field. The moment Rohit will join in the middle for the toss, he will go past Sehwag in the list of Indian players with the most ODI caps.

Sehwag has played a total of 241 ODIs in his career spanning 14 years from 1999-2013. Among those matches, the former explosive opener has played 10 matches for ICC and Asia XI.

Sehwag has played 241 ODIs for India and is tied with Rohit in the elite list. The current Indian skipper has played all of his 241 ODIs for India and he is all set to go past Sehwag in the list.

After playing the second ODI against Australia in Vizag, Rohit will be the ninth most capped player for India in the fifty-over format of the game. The list is topped by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. The legendary cricketer has played a total of 463 ODI matches during his illustrious career.

Sachin is followed by MS Dhoni (347), Rahul Dravid (340), Mohammed Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (308), Yuvraj Singh (301), Virat Kohli (272), Anil Kumble (269), Sehwag (241) and Rohit (241).
