After his inclusion in Team India in 2016, Jasprit Bumrah went on to become one of the best fast bowlers in modern-day cricket. As the India pacer turns 30 today, here are some lesser-known facts about Jasprit Bumrah.

Shocked by personal loss

Jasprit Bumrah lost his father very early in his life. Her mother who was a school principle looked after him and she always believed his son will make his father proud one day. 

Dream Ranji Debut

Bumrah always being a fast learner and he always strives to improve his game on the consistent basis. During his Ranji debut in 2013, he picked up 7 wickets against Vidarbha where at such a young age he had that uniqueness in his bowling. He emerged as the highest wicket taker during the Ranji season. 

Getting into Dhoni’s eyes

Former India captain Ms Dhoni was highly impressed with Jasprit Bumrah bowling as he called him ‘Find of the season’ during his debut Vs Australia in Sydney 2016. In no time, Bumrah began to excel in his bowling and become one of the leading fast bowlers in the world.
