In a shocking news for the fans, some France players have been struck by a virus ahead of the all-important FIFA World Cup 2022 final against Argentina on Sunday.

Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate have been affected by the virus and are not leaving their room since feeling ill. Both players missed training two days before the summit clash. Earlier, Dayot Upamecano, Adrien Rabiot, and Kingsley Coman were all sick at the start of the week and did not practice on Friday.

As per France coach Didier Deschamps, the team management is taking all kinds of measures to prevent the virus from spreading after Upamecano and Rabiot missed the semifinal win over Morocco.

“In Doha, temperatures have fallen a little bit, you have air conditioning which is on all the time. We’ve had a few cases of flu-like symptoms. We are trying to be careful so it doesn’t spread, and players have made great efforts out on the pitch and obviously, their immune systems suffer,” said Deschamps.

As per the latest report, Rabiot and Upamecano have now recovered, and as per Deschamps they could feature against Argentina on the summit clash on Sunday.
