Fans go crazy as ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni arrives in Chennai for IPL 2023 preparations – Watch

Everyone’s favourite Thala and captain of the four-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni landed in Chennai amid a rousing welcome from the fans at the airport.

With the 16th edition of the IPL set to begin from March end, MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai to kick-start the preparatory camp today. The former Indian captain and the darling of the Southern state is expected to join his teammates in the camp at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK Fan club shared the video of MS Dhoni’s arrival and posing for a little fan at the airport. In the video, we can see MS Dhoni blessing his little fan as she poses for a picture with him.

Sharing the arrival of Thala on Twitter, the fan club wrote, “The presence of Thala Dhoni in Chennai gives a different vibe. The excitement and emotions are a different level! RT if you are one of those fans whose energy levels go up with MS Dhoni in Chennai.”

Fans of the talismanic skipper are excited as this might be his last IPL season. Reports suggest Chennai Super Kings paid a whopping amount for Ben Stokes who is going to replace Dhoni. While fans are eagerly waiting for this year’s IPL, Dhoni will hopefully finish on a high in the yellow and not disappoint his fans this year.

CSK has been placed in Group B and will take on Gujarat Titans in the season opener on March 31. Others in Group B are Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans.

Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have been placed in Group A.
