When a cricketer bats and bowls with different hands, he or she is known as an ambidextrous all-rounder. It is a difficult skill to master as the player has to practice either batting or bowling with a hand that is his or her strength.

An ambidextrous all-rounder is an asset for any team as he/she gives a lot of variety and the captain can tactically use them. Let’s have a look at some of the best ambidextrous all-rounders in IPL 2024 that will give an X-factor to their respective teams.

Chennai Super Kings

Batting all-rounder Shivam Dube is one of the best players of spin in India right now. He usually bats at No.4 but could come later if some early wickets fall. He is also an effective medium pacer. He will be handy for last year champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Similarly, Moeen Ali could enhance CSK’s order with his special variety. He is an attacking batter and crafty spinner.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine are useful ambidextrous all-rounders for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Both Venkatesh and Rana are batting all-rounders. They could hardly be used with the ball. However, at Eden Gardens, Nitish can be used for more spin while elsewhere, if KKR falls short of pace options, they could use Iyer. Sunil Narine, though, is likely to feature in all the games, it won’t be a surprise if he gets to play in the top-order again.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Washington Sundar is one of the best ambidextrous all-rounders for SRH in IPL 2024. He bats left-handed and is a right-arm off-spinner.
