Amid high drama and much controversy the schedule for Asia Cup 2023 is likely to be announced on Friday.

As per reports, the ACC is likely to release the much-awaited schedule of the mega event today. The delay in the announcement of the schedule was due to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) showing reluctance over the hybrid model after having accepted it.

All eyes will be on the venue and dates of the high-octane India versus Pakistan matches. The two Asian giants are likely to lock horns in Dambulla for their league stage games. If both the teams manage to reach the final, then there would be a third game at Dambulla between the two sides.

Asia Cup 2023 is all set to start on August 31 with six teams competing in the mega event. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will co-host the Continental Cup.

Recently, Pakistan sports minister had stated that Pakistan would not go to India for the upcoming ODI World Cup if the Men in Blue don’t come to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup. However, PCB finally agreed on the proposed hybrid model by ACC.
