Under captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, Team India might not have achieved the expected results, but the duo have thrown their weight behind some talented cricketers in the team.

May it be KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan or Suryakumar Yadav, the youngsters have been given ample opportunities to find their feet in international cricket and the seniors have been backed up to the hilt to overcome their prolonged lean patch.

In a recent interview, Rohit admitted about the fact and indicated that the same trend will continue in case of 4-5 players because of their incredible talent.

“Some 4-5 players will get the extra backing because of their special talent. It happens everywhere in every team and every captain and we are no different,” said Rohit.

“Guys who have a lot of talent and who slightly stand out from the rest will get that extra push, extra backing and extra help. It’s the nature of cricket and you just can’t help. As a captain, it’s my job to identify those players and take it forward,” said the right-handed opener adding that such players will always repay the faith and trust shown in them as form can be temporary, but they have always the x-factor to turn it around.
