Professor arrested for molestation

The arrest followed lodging an FIR by the victim against Prof Rajeev Ranjan of University Law College and a student, Ashutosh, accusing them of molestation during a recent study tour of 11 students including two girls, police said. Ashutosh however, was absconding.

In her FIR, the girl said since the incident took place outside Jharkhand she was scared to raise protest in that state. After coming back, she narrated the incident to her friends who demonstrated in the institution this afternoon.
