Ahead of BJP national president JP Nadda’s visit to Odisha, the party has made elaborate arrangements and chalked out a master plan to take the ruling BJD to task for its alleged misgovernance.

On Monday (December 26), leaders and workers of the saffron party will launch 'Satyagraha' across Odisha against the rising criminalization of politics by BJD, women harassment and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. BJP has also planned to organize protests against BJD in every circle of the State. The party workers will stage dharna in front of the statue of great men at different places in the State for four hours.

Preparations are in full swing in Kandhamal ahead of Nadda’s visit on December 28. A preparatory meeting was held at PWD bungalow in Tumudibandh to discuss the conduct of the event. After reaching Tumudibandh, Nadda will first go to Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati ‘Kanyashram’ at Jaleshpatta. He will garland Swamiji’s statue and inaugurate the ‘Kanyashram’ there. Then he will address a public meeting at Biju Patnaik Mini Stadium in Tumudibandh.

Elaborate arrangement is also being made for Nadda’s programme at the historical Paltan field in Banapur. Post the public meeting in Banapur, Nadda will avail the ‘darshan’ of Goddess Bhagabati. Subsequently, he will join a meeting with party workers at Nachuni.

“BJP will stage satyagraha across the State from tomorrow against the criminalization of politics by ruling BJD. It will give a clear message to the people to vote BJD out of power,” said Odisha BJP general secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar.
