Odisha Vigilance SP’s house in Bhubaneswar on verge of collapse

With the residential building of Vigilance Department SP Ranjan Das at Hansapal on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar developing cracks and one side of it reportedly being on the verge of collapse, his family members are in a state of panic. 

The family members first spotted the cracks on Saturday night and rushed out of the house in fear. Now they are afraid to enter the house. 

Vigilance SP Das alleged that his building has developed cracks due to the construction work of an apartment on a plot adjacent to his house.

“It is their fault. They shouldn’t have dug close to our boundary wall. Rather they should have done this maintaining a safer distance from our wall. Because of this, our building has suffered damages,” said Das. 

“I demand the builder should give me the compensation and the rent of the house where we will live as we can’t live in our house,” he added. 

In this regard, reactions from the concerned construction company couldn’t be obtained.
