Massive anti-incumbency wave in state: Odisha BJP chief, Manmohan Samal 

The morale of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha is reportedly quite high after the party’s resounding electoral success in three states. State party leaders have started fiercely targeting the Odisha government.

Party’s state unit president Manmohan Samal reiterated his earlier stand, claiming, “A massive wave of anti-incumbency is sweeping Odisha now. The undercurrent of discontent will take an explosive turn against the government and the BJP will be with the people.”

Addressing a press meet on Tuesday, the BJP veteran also observed that women in the state have started changing their mindset as the BJD has long been misinforming them on various issues and Central schemes.

“The BJD was painting the schemes of the Central government in a different way before women. But all the women are aware of the misinformation propaganda of the BJD. The BJD government has been embezzling crores of rupees sanctioned by the Central government for women's welfare and development,” he added.

He also claimed that women now understand well about who misappropriated the funds meant for their welfare.
