Lord Jagannath has been adorned with famous Laxmi Nrusingha attire at Srimandir in Puri on the occasion of ‘Panchuka Chaturdashi Tithi’ or ‘Baikuntha Chaturdashi’ on Sunday.

After ‘Abakasha Niti’, the Holy Trinity gave darshan to the devotees by wearing ‘Patabastra’, special ornaments and garlands made with attractive flowers.

As per the legend, Lord Jagannath gave darshan to King Indradyumna in Nrusingha besha when he beheld the ‘Darudevata’ for the first time. In that memory, on Kartika Panchuka’s Chaturdashi Tithi, this rare ‘Besha’ of the holy trinity is being held every year.

In this attire, the Holy Trinity is adorned with ‘Shribhuja’, ‘Shripayara’ and other attractive gold ornaments. It is believed that by seeing this form of the Lord, the devotees will be blessed immensely.

The Lord was adorned with ‘Tribikrama Besha’ on the occasion of ‘Panchuka Trayodashi Tithi’ on Saturday. A large number of devotees had gathered to have the darshan of the deities in special attire.

Similarly, Lord Jagannath and His sibling deities Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra will don the most famous ‘Rajarajeshwar Besha’ or golden attire in ‘Kartika Purnima’ (last day of Panchuka) on Monday.

A huge rush of devotees is expected in Puri to witness the ‘Rajarajeshwar Besha’ of the deities. Elaborate security arrangements and traffic management have been made for the smooth darshan of the deities in the special attire at Srimandir.
