In a strange incident, the name of a deceased leader has found mention in the list of the reconstituted legal front of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

The name of Ramnath Mishra, who passed away on October 31, last year has been mentioned as the president of the BJD legal front for the Gajapati district in the list which was announced on February 25.

Ramnath was a senior lawyer in Gajapati district and he was immensely popular in the area. He was the President of the Paralakhemnudi Bar Association for more than 20 years.

The announcement of Mishra’s name as BJD legal front district president has surprised people in the area with questions being raised over the silly announcement of the ruling party. People are utterly dismayed on how the party doesn’t have knowledge about a leader who has passed away for more than five months.

“The party might not have been informed about Mishra’s death and the announcement has been made as per the old list. I hope the leaders in Gajapati district will inform them about the mistake to the party and a senior advocate will be announced as the president of BJD legal front for the district soon,” said Basant Das, a senior party leader of Paralakhemnudi.
