The annual Bali Yatra festival in Cuttack will be held for a period of eight days starting November 27, informed the district administration on Friday.

As per the officials, the Bali Yatra festival will conclude on December 4, 2023. A high-level meeting was held today and emphasis was laid on the seamless conduct of the mega event that draws lakhs of visitors to the millennium city. This time focus will be laid on the security and visitor-friendly amenities. All these issues were discussed at the virtual meeting which was attended by the additional chief secretary, Satyabrata Sahu.

Senior officials of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) also attended the meeting. Mayor Subhash Singh said that earlier CM Naveen Patnaik had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant the national maritime heritage festival tag to Bali Yatra.

Bali Yatra is held annually in Cuttack to commemorate the glorious tradition of seafaring activities of Odia mariners.
