Walking a few steps without seeing or in the dark is quite difficult. But a lot of children in Sambalpur are doing a lot of things like reading, guessing colours of items, and many more, blindfolded.

Yes, you heard it right. It is through the mid-brain activation technique that children from class II to Plus II are now able to do wonderful things like reading books without looking at pages. Not only this, but the children can also read text messages by opening their mobile lock blindfolded.

The children can easily guess the serial number in any kind of currency note by touching and saying its denomination. Using the mid-brain activation technique, the children also practice karate and can hit the target blindfolded.

“We can easily tell the page number, and its content even if our eyes are closed,” said a student.

Anju Sharma, a mid-brain activation trainer said, “The technique is being taught to children from 5 to 15 years through yoga, music and meditation. It is mainly a four-month course.”

According to Sharma, most people use eyes while other senses like touch and smell are not put to much use.

“By closing one of the senses (eyes), we can train children to guess items, colours through touch and smell. The children can easily say the page number and its content blindfolded after the training,” said Sharma.

According to Sharma, every human has powers and through yoga and meditation, confidence, focus, and creativity can be enhanced thereby minimizing the habit of watching tv and mobile phones among students.
