In an unfortunate incident, a BSF jawan's body was found on railway tracks in Koraput district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Dhrubraj Pradhan, a resident of Jharsuguda under Banharpali Police Station.
As per reports, Pradhan was posted at a BSF camp in the locality. He left the camp for some office work on Monday afternoon and did not return.
Subsequently, his body was found on the Koraput Landiguda New Colony railway track today.
However, the cause behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered a case in connection with the incident and started an investigation into it. The GRP officials are clueless about whether it is a case of suicide or murder.
Upon being informed, BSF authorities also reached the spot and identified the body. A pal of gloom has descended in the area following the tragic incident.
