Bahuda Yatra, the homecoming of the Holy Trinity from Gundicha Temple to Srimandir on their chariots concluded on schedule on Wednesday.

The three chariots Taladhwaja (Lord Balabhadra), Debadalana (Goddess Subhadra), and Nandighosha (Lord Jagannath), returned to Srimandir pulled by a sea of revering devotees marking the end of the nine-day sojourn of the Lord and his siblings to their aunt’s place - Gundicha temple.

The rituals began early and the Pahandi of the Holy Trinity started four hours ahead of the schedule. Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Jagannath were taken to their respective chariots in ceremonial processions amid the beating of gongs, blowing of conches, and chants of Jai Jagannath.

On their way back, the Trinity made a brief halt at the ‘Mausi Maa’ temple to taste the ‘Poda Pitha’ following which the three chariots resumed their journey towards the Srimandir.

The Taladhwaja made its arrival at Singhadwara first after which Darpadalana chariot arrived. The Nandighosha with Lord Jagannath aboard reached the Singhadwara last concluding the Bahuda Yatra of the Holy Trinity.

The deities will give darshan to the devotees in 'Suna Besha' on Thursday following which they will be taken to the Ratna Singhasana inside the Srimandir after completion of Adharapana and Niladri Bije on subsequent days.
