In a bizarre incident, a private tuition teacher allegedly abducted two minor girl students in Badagada area in Bhubaneswar.

Source said, the teacher, identified as Gopalkrushna Badatiya, allegedly eloped with the two minor students on Sunday when the parents of the girls were not at home.

A letter was also recovered from the house, where the girls used to take tuitions, which reads that they would return after eight days, sources added.

Parents of the two students became suspicious of Badatiya's conduct when they found the tutor was spending more time with the girls on pretext of teaching them, sources said adding that the teacher had threatened the parents when they opposed his unusual behaviour.

"The two girls are missing since the past three days. We suspect the tuition teacher had abducted them. I urge police to take immediate step to rescue our children," said one of the parents.

She said they suspect tuition teacher's involvement as he used to have unusual interest in the girls and spent extra time with them. "He had even threatened us when we questioned his intentions," she added.

"The private tutor eloped with the girls when we were not at home. We found a letter which mentions that they will return after eight days," another parent said adding that a complaint has been lodged with the Badagada police station.

The reaction of the police is awaited.
