The controversial saga of Ollywood chocolate boy Babushaan and co-actor Prakruti Mishra continues to hog the limelight. Today morning, a team of Kharvel Nagar Police arrived at the residence of actress Prakruti Mishra in Bhubaneswar and questioned her in connection with the case lodged against her.

A lady police officer questioned the actress for nearly an hour in presence of her parents and family members.

“We had come to record the statements of actress Prakruti Mishra in presence of her parents," inspector-in-charge of Kharavel Nagar Police station Arun Swain said.

Meanwhile, actor Babushaan is nowhere to be seen in Odisha. The actor who had reportedly flown to Chennai on the day of the controversial incident to attend the Utkal Diwas celebration is still there. However, fans have raised questions after he was found absent during the promotion of his upcoming movie ‘Daman’.

“If he is there in Chennai, then why is he not present during the promotion,” a fan questioned.

Meanwhile, speaking on the matter, Daman producer, Dipendra Samal, clarified that Babushaan was indeed there in Chennai and was under rest.

“He is the face of our movie ‘Daman’. However, he has been going through a lot of things lately. So, I asked him to take rest at the hotel. So, he did not attend the promotion of the movie. But, when I returned back to the hotel, he had checked out,” informed Samal.

When questioned if Prakruti Mishra was also part of the movie, Samal said that she was not part of the project.

“No, Prakruti Mishra is not part of the movie. She might have come to Chennai for some other commitments. I have no idea about her,” he added.

On the other hand, Veteran artist, Pradyumna Lenka said that both Babushaan and Prakruti have a huge responsibility for the Odia industry. They both should move ahead in life and work to bring laurels to the industry.

“Babushaan is not just for himself or his parents. He is the heartthrob of the whole Odisha, the Odia industry and his fans. He has a huge responsibility on his shoulders. He should leave aside things that bother her fans and work for the betterment of the industry. Both of them are young talents and should work for the upliftment of the industry,” Lenka, the vice-president of Odisha Film Artist Association said.
