Actor and comedian Sunil Grover on Thursday was discharged from the hospital after he underwent a bypass surgery following heart blockage. 

As per reports, the 44-year-old actor was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai after he experienced chest pain. As the doctor at the hospital said, Sunil suffered a heart attack. Moreover, the actor was found Covid positive when he was admitted to the hospital. 

As quoted by ETimes TV, the doctor said, "Sunil was advised to visit the hospital after he experienced chest pain. After conducting blood tests and ECG, it was found he had suffered a heart attack."

The doctor further informed that Sunil was given medication following which he was medically stabilised. Though Sunil showed no symptoms, he was found Covid positive. He was also being treated for Covid.

"After a week, an angiography was done. It was found that all his three arteries had blockages. Hence, a bypass surgery was recommended and done 14 days ago. He has recovered well and is being discharged now," the doctor was quoted as saying.

However, the actor may not be able to resume work immediately unless everything normalises. The doctors have advised the actor to be careful and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, he is advised to pay attention to his diet, walk regularly and do exercise. "He needs to take rest, maybe after two to three weeks, he will be back to normal life," the doctor added.

The news of Sunil's heart surgery was out on February 2.
