Ever since the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s new song "Besharam Rang" from their upcoming movie Pathaan, it has been trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.

While fans of stars are loving the song with the sizzling chemistry of Shah Rukh and Deepika in it, some are trolling it for showcasing ‘shameless vulgarity’. However, the song has stirred another controversy to it.

Many Twitteratis have claimed that the song's beat is similar to that of Jain's 'Makeba’. They have also got some solid 'proof,' with edits of both beats playing back to back-to prove their theory.

Makeba, is produced by French beatmaker Yodelice and largely draws upon the African music subgenre known as Amapiano. In fact, the very title of the song is a reference to legendary South African vocalist and activist Miriam Makeba, who is largely associated with Afropop and jazz music.

Makeba was quite popular and was used in a Levi’s commercial also. Here are some netizen’s observations on 'Besharam Rang' about the single's similarity to Makeba.

Meanwhile, 'Boycott Pathaan' is also trending today too. Netizens are trolling the movie while accusing it of showcasing ‘shameless vulgarity’ and destroying Indian culture. Netizens believe Bollywood is busy mocking Hindu culture and glorifying Islam.

One netizen wrote, “Deepika Padukone is dressed in Saffron clothes while SRK is wearing a Green shirt. The ultimate Bollywood fantasy. #BoycottPathan.”

Another twitter user wrote, “These Bollywood stars never miss an opportunity to defame Hindus and India culture.”

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that Deepika's outfits are objectionable and it should be corrected or they will be forced to mull whether to stall the film’s release in the state.
