The debate around Bollywood Vs South has been going on for quite a while now. While several big-budget Bollywood movies have bombed at the box office, South movies are captivating the audience and doing wonders in terms of collections as well. Though BTown has been long regarded as the unbeatable giant of Indian cinema, the charm seems to be lost these days. Moreover, BWood actors are on the radar of moviegoers for their bad temperament, behaviour and hurting Hindu sentiments in various instances. On the other hand, the cool behaviour, simplicity, humbleness and religious respect of the South actors have won everyone's heart.

But, recently a popular celebrity paparazzo Varinder Chawla claimed that South actors are fake but BTown actors aren't.

During his recent interview with Hindi Rush, Chawla was asked about his perception of South stars on social media, which is grounded and quieter. Dismissing the social media image of the South actors, Chawla said, “To be honest, I think woh log naklipan karte hai (they indulge in fakery). They act like that only for the camera. There was an actor who would appear in slippers during the promotions of the film to deliberately pretend to be humble in front of the camera.”

When the host inquired if he was talking about Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda, he nodded his head.

Further, he went on to add, "Recently, my team shot a video of a big South star, who is normally very quiet. He was going inside the hotel when he snapped at my team member. I didn’t put it, but the other photographer who had also shot it uploaded it.”

Though he didn't mention Jr NTR's name, recently a video of the RRR actor surfaced on social media in which he was seen losing his cool.

Furthermore, Chawla talked about Mahesh Babu who dismissed Bollywood amid the presence of the Hindi press. The incident took place during an event in the movie Major.

Chawla said, "He was openly saying we don’t need Bollywood; they can’t afford me. I thought what is this attitude? I do feel woh naklipan zyada hai. They compare Bollywood… but here at least the actors aren’t fake. They are seen how they are, if they are getting angry, that’s public as well."

For the unversed, Mahesh Babu's statement triggered controversy as he stated, "Bollywood can't afford me."

However, he later clarified, “I strongly feel, why should we go to another industry by leaving ours behind? I am very happy that our films are reaching there (in North India). Our movies are doing well at the pan-India level and my dream is coming true.”
