Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award for his contributions as the International Icon of Cinema and Culture at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), 2022.

King Khan attended the 41st edition of the SIBF 2022 at Expo Centre in Sharjah, UAE and won over the hearts of millions of his fans with his lines from Baazigar. Dressed in all black, SRK looked dashing as always and now videos and pictures from the event are going viral on social media.

Apart from enthralling the visitors at the book fair, it was SRK’s speech that has now become the talk of the town. Speaking at the event, the King of romance called for everyone to thrive in a culture of love, peace and compassion.

“All of us, no matter where we live, what colour we are, what religion we follow or what songs we dance to… thrive in a culture of love, peace and compassion,” said King Khan after receiving the award for ‘contribution to the cultural scene and reproductivity in the field of writing and creativity.'

During his stage presence, the Baazigar actor also recreated his iconic signature pose and treated the audience with his dialogues from Baazigar and Om Shanti Om.

In a clip shared by his fan club on Instagram, the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actor recreated his dialogue ---Itni Shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ke har zarre ne mujhe tumse Milane ki saazish ki hai. Kehte hain ki… agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.

As always, he was at his witty best and answered a few questions from the audience and the host.

When asked if he was nervous about his upcoming movies Paathan, Jaawan and Dunki, he said, “You know, people think I’m pompous if I answer it the way I would like to answer it honestly. Because, you are doing the interview, I’m going to be honest. I don’t think I need to be nervous. I think they are all going to be superhit films.”
