Pankaj Tripathi shares interesting things about Janhvi Kapoor

Pankaj Tripathi’s OMG 2 is doing very well and has crossed 100 crore collection. Undoubtedly, the presence of Akshay Kumar has influenced these earnings in a big way, but it has also garnered all the attention and praise for Pankaj Tripathi who is playing the lead in a Bollywood film for the first time. While post-Mirzapur’s super success he is one of the superstars on the Indian digital platforms, OMG 2 has also proved that he can deliver it commercially in the theaters given the chance.

A year ago when he appeared on a podcast to promote his then OTT release Criminal Justice, the versatile actor opened up about a lot of things both social and personal. He discussed things on how introducing a matriarchal system can bring a big change in society and can possibly also stop the continuous wars and violent incidents that are taking around in the world.

The popular actor said that undoubtedly things are changing in society and that is why he particularly is choosing roles like the father in Bareily Ki Barfi or in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl who gave all freedom to his daughter. Pankaj Tripathi said that in all these movies his roles have been that of a father who goes out of the way to help women and support their progress.

Sharing his views on Janhvi Kapoor with whom he had worked for Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, he said she is a very hard-working and dedicated girl. Pankaj said that she keeps on messaging me and asking me to invite her to my house for lunch and dinner. The actor said that Janhvi used to come to his house for meals when they were shooting for Gunjan Saxena and she loves Bihari bhojan.

Tripathi revealed that Janvhi Kapoor had to look plump in the movie and hence had to eat a lot. She used to come to his house with a lot of rice and eat it. He said that she is very good and sincere.
