Not Salman Khan, Shah Rukh was first choice to host Bigg Boss; Bhaijan reveals #Watch

The name Salman Khan has a long association with Bigg Boss. Although the first few seasons were hosted by Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan Bhaijan stepped in as the host from Bigg Boss Season 4 and since then has been the undisputed presenter and host of the famous reality show on Colors Television. It is hard to imagine anyone else in place of Salman Khan.

Even when Karan Johar who has enjoyed a successful stint on television and events both as host and judge hosted Bigg Boss OTT Season 1, many fans were disappointed and hence the Bollywood superstar returned this year to host the second season of Bigg Boss OTT.

But very few know that the Tiger Zinda Hai actor was the second choice to host Bigg Boss. The opportunity was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan who could not do it because he was busy with some other work and also at that time was battling with shoulder injury. The Badshah of Bollywood was unable to manage dates for the reality show and hence the opportunity was passed on to Salman Khan who has certainly done a great job.

Recently a video clip showing Salman revealing all about this went viral on social media and many Sallu fans reacted that they are thankful to God that SRK could not do Bigg Boss as he does not have the swag and courage to host a reality show like Bigg Boss.

Although when it comes to box office records, both Salman and Shah Rukh Khan had delivered some massive hits, on television, the former has been more successful while SRK never could impress with his television hosting skills. Bet it Bigg Boss or Dus Ka Dam, after Amitabh Bachchan, the one superstar who genuinely was accepted by the telly audience is Salman.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh's stint as a host for Kaun Banega Crorepati or even for Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? failed to lure the audience.
