Based on Aaliya’s complaint, Nawazuddin has been served a notice by a Mumbai court. Through her lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee, Aaliya has filed a case, under section 509, an insult to modesty and section 498A, husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty.

In her statement, Aaliya said, “My access to the kitchen is banned and I have made the living room sofa, my bed. My friends who send me food are not allowed to come in. I have known Nawaz for over a decade, I married him when he was not such a popular star. Now, I feel trapped. Why should I leave the house what is rightfully mine?”

Earlier, Nawaz’s mother Mehrunisa Siddiqui had filed an FIR against Aaliya for alleged trespassing. Reportedly, Aaliya is Nawaz’s second wife and the couple tied the knot over a decade ago. They are parents to son Yaani Siddiqui and daughter Shora Siddiqui.
