Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan’s much-awaited rom-com ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ has finally hit the silver screen and is an out-and-out entertainer for Rohit Saraf fans. It also starring Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal. However, the film seems to have fallen short of both ‘Ishq Vishk’ and ‘Pyaar Vyaar’.

While today’s youngsters may enjoy the film, those who loved Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao’s OG ‘Ishq Vishk’ may be in for heartbreak. Reflecting on rebound relationships these days, the film has far more red flags than green.

Not to disappoint Ishq Vishk fans, the Rebound is a fresh story of four Gen Z friends, Sahir (Jibraan Khan), Sanya (Pashmina Roshan), Raghav (Rohit Saraf) and Riya (Naila Grrewal) who become enmeshed in a web of friendship, love and self-discovery.

The movie revolves around Sahir and Sanya who are dating while Raghav is their permanent third wheel. Not only he joins them on their dates but also gets involved in their fights. Things get complicated when Rohit meets Riya and dates her in secret. However, his friendship with Sahir and Sanya makes his relationship with Riya complicated.

Things get even uglier when Sanya breaks up with Sahir. A frustrated Sahir leaves for his military school while Raghav is tasked to take care of Sanya. However, one thing leads to another and both Sanya and Raghav end up kissing each other.

The one kiss changes their equation with each other, leading to layers of complications. Will Raghav end up with Sanya or is it just another rebound... You will have to watch the film to find that out.

While the writing and storyline could have been better, the actors manage to hold the hands of the audience until the end. Rohit Saraf’s fans are going to love him while Pashmina and Jibraan have put in their best.

On the other hand, Naila’s role in the film felt more like an extended cameo as her role was limited to the catalyst of the main love story of the film. One should watch to have a blast and get a fair idea of what ‘rebound’ is for youngsters these days.
