Hera Pheri 3: Akshay Kumar not interested in returning! Here’s everything you need to know

Hera Pheri 3 and Akshay Kumar have been the talk of the town for the last couple of days. While the earlier reports claimed that Akki may reprise his iconic character as Raju in the 3rd installment, the latest reports suggest Akki is not interested in returning to the franchise.

According to a report by E Times, Akki is very much interested in a comedy film but not Hera Pheri 3 . 

“These are stories being spread by someone who desperately wants to make the project (Hera Pheri 3) much bigger than it actually is,” E Times quoted a close friend of Akki as saying.

Further, the source added, "Akshay has not met the producer. He has shown no interest in returning to Hera Pheri." 

The source even disclosed the secret that Akshay is quite eager to work with Anees Bazmee in a comedy film but not Hera Pheri. “Not Hera Pheri, absolutely not,” he said.

Earlier reports surfaced that Kartik Aaryan was roped in for the third installment of the Hera Pheri franchise. Even Paresh Rawal also tweeted confirming the same. 

While there was much hue and cry on social media about Kartik replacing Akki as Raju, Akki announced backing out from the movie. 

Movie buffs started campaigns demanding Akki’s return. Many suggested that if there is no Akshay Kumar, there is no Hera Pheri. Raju is the soul of Hera Pheri and without its soul, the movie won’t work.

Later, it was clarified that Kartik didn’t replace Akki as Raju, and he will be introduced as a different character.

However, the latest reports suggest, the inclusion of Kartik in Hera Pheri isn’t official. People are cooking up different stories related to Hera Pheri 3 as well as Koki and Akki.
