It was a very different kind of role for Katrina Kaif, who had only played a pretty damsel on the big screen till then. As Indu Pratap, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, the Bollywood superstar played a character loosely based on Drupadi since the movie was a modern adaptation of Mahabharata with families fighting for positions in politics.
Jenny in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani
This was a typical girl-next-door role for Katrina Kaif . The character of Jenny needed someone who had all the innocence, beauty, honesty, and even a bit of vanity so that she cannot find out the truth about her boyfriend who was hell-bent on cheating on her. Importantly, it was the first movie that brought Ranbir Kapoor and Kat together on the big screen which also makes this movie memorable.
Babita Kumari in Zero
Despite having very less screen time Katrina signed this movie for Shah Rukh Khan and also because she thought Babita Kumari was one character that must be a part of her work profile. And after all these years, it seems that she made the right decision because critics may be divided over the fact whether Zero was even a good movie or not, but almost everyone will agree that Kat as the alcoholic, actress is at her best in this film.
Zoya from Tiger franchise
Katrina Kaif is adventurous and dashing but she revealed all these qualities in full with the first movie from the Tiger franchise. As Zoya in Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, the superstar showed repeatedly that she has all the qualities that can make her the superwoman of the Indian screen. And that is one reason why Abbas Ali Zafar is planning to make a mega movie based on the lines of a superwoman with the Kay Beauty owner in the lead.
