Alia Bhatt in YRF Spy Universe: Will Raazi girl maintain her magic? Here’s how people react

Alia Bhatt hogged the headlines soon after the reports of the Brahmastra actress being the newest entrant in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe surfaced. While till date, male actors have led the flicks under the Spy Universe franchise, Alia will reportedly be YRF’s maiden female spy.

YRF’s Spy Universe is one of the most talked about topics these days in Bollywood. YRF’s spy-thriller journey began with Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. After receiving an overwhelming response, the makers came up with its sequel Tiger Zinda Hai which also went on to become a blockbuster. Next, it was War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff which scripted history. The trend followed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and the rest is history. 

While all eyes are now on Salman’s upcoming Tiger 3, War 2 is also on the cards. Meanwhile, anticipation and excitement for Tiger Vs Pathaan is no less. It is touted that Salman, Shah Rukh and Hrithik will be seen together in Tiger Vs Pathaan. However, further updates on War 2 and Tiger vs Pathaan are yet to be revealed by the makers. 

Alia's Inclusion

Meanwhile, reports are abuzz that following Tiger vs Pathaan, the makers are prepping to launch their first female spy in the 8th film of YRF Spy Universe. Alia will be seen in a never-seen avatar and the makers have plans of presenting a visual spectacle.

Pinkvilla quoted a close source to the development as saying, “Alia Bhatt is one of the biggest crowd pullers in today’s time and she will be playing a super-agent in the YRF Spy Universe like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Aditya Chopra and the team have planned an epic female-led spy film with Alia Bhatt which is expected to push her to the edge.”

Further, the source was quoted as saying, “Alia’s inclusion to the Spy Universe indicates that Aditya Chopra is leaving no audience segment out of the equation. She will be playing a spy in an out-and-out action entertainer, and this will be a big novelty for the audience base that she appeals to. It’s going to be Alia Bhatt like never before.”

The makers are yet to make an official announcement about the inclusion of Alia Bhatt in YRF Spy Universe and the movie is yet to get a title. However, the reports have filled excitement among all.

Throughout her professional career, Alia has improved and proved her mettle as an actress. From Students of The Year to her upcoming Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, Alia has portrayed various characters. She has been winning the hearts of movie lovers in different avatars, except a few. Alia’s spy-thriller movie Raazi still remains one of her career’s best.

Well, if the reports are anything to go by, this will be Alia’s second movie as a spy. While she enticed movie lovers with her stellar performance in Raazi, fans hope she will continue her magic in an action avatar too. However, cine lovers also expressed doubt whether Alia can justify her character in an action avatar and spread her magic or will fail.
