Meanwhile this festival is also famous for the unique terminology “Trick or Treat, used by kids who roam door to door asking for candies, gifts and money. Apart from all these fun elements and representations, this Celtic festival originally known as Samhain is celebrated to mark the end of summer and the start of the winter season.

The Christian feast of Allhallows falls on the November 1 followed by the Halloween eve. People belonging to Irish and Scottish origin primarily celebrate this occasion, is also the primary reason behind propagation of it worldwide. 

Halloween is associated with several legendary tales and traditions such as paying homage to deceased souls, dressing up in eerie attires, and carving pumpkins. People also enjoy participating in ghost theme parties, watching, and listening to horror stories.

The unique storyline which revolves around an evil doll “Annabelle” creating trouble for the family is sure to give you goosebumps.

3. Halloween (1978): Talking about Halloween without checking out a movie with the same name will be a great injustice. This independent slasher film with more than eleven sequels is one of its kinds. The story line of this movie revolves around a psycho killer named Micheal Myers, who resumes his murderous venture of escaping the prison after fifteen years.

Convicted at the age of 6 after killing his baby-sitter elder sister, Micheal is a pure evil who can terrorise you with his sheer cold-blooded actions.

4. IT (2017): Do you fear clowns, or a victim of coulrophobia? Well then this evil clown can give you a nail-biting experience. The film grossing over 700 million dollars world-wide, features an evil clown named Pennywise who terrorises a town with murderous activities, especially by abducting and killing school going kids.

5. Insidious (2010): This supernatural horror movie will surely give a next-level experience. It revolves around a young boy who has a special ability of astral travelling. If you have a taste for out-of-the-box supernatural movies, then this one is for you. How can being unaware of your supernatural abilities can land your family in trouble is clearly presented in this horror movie.
