Farhan Akhtar gears up to announce Ranveer Singh-led Don 3; teaser to release with Gadar 2

Farhan Akhtar has finally decided to come out with the announcement for Don 3. The buzz surrounding the third installment has been going on for the last few months. Speculations were adrift that Shah Rukh Khan has decided to leave the franchise whereas die-hard SRK fans were adamant that the Badshah of Bollywood will definitely play Don for the third time.

However, now there is strong news that Ranveer Singh is finalised to play the iconic character of Don in the third installment directed by Farhan Akhtar.

The famous director and actor is gearing up to make this announcement soon and plans are being made to finalise the digital teaser as early as possible so that it can be unveiled in theatres along with the release of Gadar 2. Reportedly, the teaser has already been shot and Farhan and his team were waiting for the release of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’s release so that this news does not shadow the Karan Johar directorial.

There was also speculation that Farhan was waiting to see the response to RARKPK and then decide whether to go forward with Ranveer for Don 3 because the last few big movies of the Bollywood superstar turned out to be disasters at the box office. Now that the latest release of Ranveer Singh has got such a huge response, Farhan is in no doubt about the casting and hence wants to announce the same soon.

Ranveer Singh is now busy shooting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Baiju Bawra. He will join Farhan and the team for Don 3 only after that. Reportedly, the movie will go on floors sometime in 2024 and release in 2025. The teaser is also expected to release along with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 3 and Ranveer’s latest release Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
